Grenada Citizenship

Residency requirements.

The Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program was launched in 2013 under the regulations of the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Act. Grenada's pilot scheme allows qualified investors and their family members to apply for citizenship and benefit from visa-free travel.

The processing time includes approximately 3 to 4 weeks of bank processing, approximately 2 to 3 months of security vetting and approximately 2 weeks of government processing to issue certificates and passports. The CBI Committee makes recommendations of approval, but the ultimate approval must come from the Cabinet.

Price for the application for the citizenship and passport of Grenada, including non-refundable investment to the economy of the country for a family of five (two adults and three dependent children under 25 years) is US$ 50,000. It includes: Non-refundable investment in the economy of Grenada. Governmental fees.

Pathway to Citizenship

Real Estate.

The real estate investment programme allows approved applicants to invest in CBI supported real estate developments.

To qualify, the investor (or investors) must enter into a contract to buy property worth US$350,000 or more. Once the purchase contract has been signed and the full investment amount has been transferred to an escrow account, the investor may apply for citizenship.

Once citizenship has been accepted, the investor receives the passport, citizenship certificate, and shares certificate. The only stipulation is that the property may not be sold within four years, or citizenship can be revoked.

Process of obtaining citizenship of Grenada through real estate investment

1.     Enter into investment agreement with the approved real estate developer.

2.    Transfer full investment and associated fees to escrow account controlled by an on-island attorney.

3.    Submit application and required documents (birth, marriage, military certificates, etc).

4.    Receive government approval followed by the issue of CBI naturalization certificate.

5.    Passport application is submitted, and the passport distributed.

Investment.

Grenada’s Citizenship by Investment Programme is a fantastic way to enjoy the beautiful island of Grenada, explore new paths for your business and expand your passport portfolio.
In order to preserve the prestige of Grenada’s Citizenship by Investment (CBI) initiatives, the CBI programme is governed by a legal protocol. Application is by invitation and each applicant, their family and or business partners must be approved individually by the Government of Grenada through a strict due diligence process.
Due to this protocol Grenada boasts one of the Caribbean’s most exclusive and rewarding Citizenship Programmes. Read more about the process, download the required forms or find an agent to guide you through the application.
